DIAGAMETSE MACHABA ARCHITECT
Diagametse Machaba studied architecture at
the University of Cape Town, then he
interned at the Boffi studio in Cape Town
where he took and managed projects
ranging in architecture,design and
construction, He was part of the team that
was responsible for Boffi's Africa division,
and worked on projects in Egypt,Rwanda
and Mauritius. In 2015, he ventured into
another medium by exploring his creativity
through photography where he was
published in various international magazines
including Pause magazine based in the
UK.He was involved in the feesmustfall
protests and his images were exhibited at
the Einewelthaus in München, Germany.
Diagametse has designed various projects
of which are currently ongoing and have
completed construction.In 2016, He
completed his first work and was awarded
as human of the week in his Faculty at the
Engineering and Built Environment at the
University of Cape Town for the school of
architecture, for his creativity and
dedication to the field of art, architecture
and design. His work was also awarded First
place for the application process at the
University of Pretoria architecture
department in 2014.
Since the inception of his company in 2016,
he has dedicated his work to drawing
inspiration from nature through a minimalist
approach when designing, and continues to
draw inspiration and express his creativity
through other mediums such as art, music
and photography. This helps him design
spaces that work more as an experience
rather than functional spaces. Diagametse
lives and works in Polokwane, Pretoria,
Johannesburg and Cape Town
